At Blair Farms Beefmasters we are forever testing the limits of our cattle. We
run our cattle on the arid eastern side of the Salinas Valley in Monterey County, California. With an annual
average rainfall of 7 1/2 inches (4 in the last 5 years) and a grass growing season that starts the 1st
of February and ends the middle of April, rainfall timing is more important than anything else. Our cattle
walk over a mile to water each day and work for the nutrition they get. We don't pamper or feed our cattle, even during
severe drought. To survive our cattle MUST have the 6 essentials of the Beefmaster Breed, anything less and
they become sun bleached skeletons. If you are looking for Real Performance Cattle that can survive in the harshest
of conditions and give your calves an edge over the competition then this site is for you. BUT if you are looking
